This year we have decided, as a team, to put our energy into supporting the charity that LBW have been closely involved in since we opened, the Muscular Dystrophy campaign.
There will be a charity walk departing at 10.30am along the 8 mile route from Hooton train station to Parkgate and returning via Pollards Inn.
Sponsorship can be made here - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lbwwalk
We have a number of friends and family as well as some of the benefactors of the Muscular Dystrophy campaign committed to the event. A very close friend and client of Lee Webster, Dave Dawrant, will be joining us on the walk with some of his family as two of Dave’s grandsons suffer from this debilitating condition.
We are hoping to raise around £5,000 from this event for the charity and we would really like your support and if you felt able to join us either on the walk or simply to support welcoming the walkers back to Pollards it would be greatly appreciated.
There will be post walk celebrations at Pollards Inn in Willaston from 2.30pm onwards Saturday 15th July with a BBQ and live band during the afternoon to make the event as much fun as possible.
Due to restricted parking, we would request that cars are parked either at Hooton train station or Hadlow train station or alternative arrangements are made to arrive at the starting destination.
Please donate through our Just Giving page (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lbwwalk).
Please note all donations should be made through this online system unless made on the day where charity buckets will be available.
LBW have held a number of charity events in the past which involve a previous Wirral Way Walk, a family BBQ at LBW and Lee running the London marathon.
The LBW team also raise funds for charity by having a 'dress down' day at the end of each month.
This has meant that to date LBW have raised over £10,000 for charity from these events.
